Our staff is available for any and all stages of a project lifecycle

High-level tasks

Our consultants are able to take a project from concept to operation or fulfill your needs at any one or more of these stages.

Project Management

Our project managers (PMs) are detail-oriented and committed to providing you complete hands-on oversight of your project. We can work with and manage your existing team or provide full-service operation of our own personnel.

We provide industry standard reporting and data metrics to help your monitor your project's pace from any angle. Our PMs also have a strong technical background and the ability to communicate to stakeholders at all levels, from the userbase all the way to the boardroom.

Based on your preferred schedule – daily, weekly, or other – we offer complete reporting in the form of face-to-face status meetings or written reports with data analytics to backup our reporting.

Needs Analysis

Any technical installation or upgrade begins by collecting and analyzing your specific capabilities and needs. Our project planners and engineers, with the backing of technical and management specialists, conduct a comprehensive site survey and interview with key stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs). With this data, we create a document that outlines our understanding of the problem.

By delivering this document before work begins, we create a solid foundation for a project to fulfill your needs and functionality desires, along with a rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimate that provides a basis for cost analysis.

Formal Requirements

Based on your needs, we help you craft a formal requirements document. This generally includes a statement of work (SOW), bill of materials (BOM), a schedule and a simplified design document that shows signal flows, building layouts or other relevant diagrams.

After revisions from all parties, the formal requirements documents are finalized as a contract and executed.

Engineering and Design

Work usually begins with a deep-dive into the engineering and design of the proposed system. Our engineers create drawings and specifications that offer a complete look at the project from start to finish. For complex projects, we also create a functional specification that describes exactly how all hardware and software will work from both a user and an operator perspective.

Kickoff Meeting

When a work is ready to begin, our PM schedules a kickoff meeting that includes all stakeholders. Our PM's job is to present formal engineering documentation and scheduling. The PM fields all questions and comments and facilitates the direct and productive interaction between the engineering team and your stakeholders to discuss any and all technical, legal, user, environmental or scheduling issues.

Installation Stage

This stage varies in scope and schedule depending on the project. Please note that our personnel are also available to augment and supplement your in-house people for installation or integration of any project or system. At a basic level, our technical people can be boots on the ground or another pair of hands for projects of any scope. (Yes, we've sent people to install a phone line or configure a laptop in the midst of a huge product launch.)

During this stage, you will receive robust reporting and scheduling data from our PMs. You will always be in the loop regarding progress, scheduling and costs. Our “no surprises” commitment comes heavily into play at this stage as your are kept abreast of all project issues.

Testing and Acceptance

When installation is complete according to our SOW, BOM and other design documents, we begin our testing phase. Our project personnel conduct tests in front of key stakeholders to demonstrate the functionality of all systems.

When everything is working to your satisfaction, you execute formal acceptance of the project.

Training

Our engineers and training specialists provide documentation and training for your userbase. This can be in the form of manuals or quick guides. Our train-the-trainer specialists can also provide your in-house personnel with everything needed to train more users at your own pace.

Operation and Maintenance

We operate systems or provide guidance to your in-house personnel. A maintenance contract can assure you are operating at peak efficiency. We provide several levels of service in these areas and can always supplement your staff in peak use periods.
